Market and Web Content Job in Monterey

Monterey County Convention and Visitors Bureau is a 25 person group which promotes tourism for Monterey County. New funding at about the $4 million level is allowing them, for the first time, to launch a solid multi-faceted marketing program, making them highly competitive with virtually all relevant destinations in California and the West.

They need to add a marketing and web content manager. Principal duties would be to develop and manage content about the destination for their web site, manage outside services such as the agency that built and serves their site, and to help them keep abreast of emerging practices in the digital space that make sense for tourism marketing.

Web and tech savviness is a key, but a passion for story telling in a marketing context is also very important. They would essentially “own” this medium within our overall plan.

This is a full time post with benefits, wih an office in Monterey. The position would make a great “early career” job. Pay will be very competitive.
